Nothing Else

Nothing Else
(Original poem in Sindhi by Ali Gul Sangi)
English translation by Rizwan Ahmed Memon

Away from you is pain,
Nothing else.
Long time no see - it is being mad,
Nothing else.
No letter, no message - it is forgetting,
Nothing else.
No meeting, no call, no voice - it is clear, it is parting,
Nothing else.
Missing in the morning, in the evening, and at night - it is longing,
Nothing else.

A Marvelous Maiden

A Marvelous Maiden

by Rizwan Ahmed Memon

In May the summer

I married a marvelous maiden.

Bright was her face

Pink were her cheeks.

Red were her lips

Deep were her eyes;

Little were her hands

Light were her feet.

Long were her hair

Fine was her figure;

Dense were her eyelashes

Silent was she.

Spoke she slowly

Smiled she gently;

In May the summer

I married a marvelous maiden.

My Ultimate World

My Ultimate World

by Rizwan Ahmed Memon

In her arms was my ultimate world.
Her lips were no less than honey.
Her long dark hair was like the dark clouds of summer,
Which provided comforting shadows.
When she held my hand in her hand, I felt safe.
In her company my life took on new colors.

Let’s Make a World

Let’s Make a World

by Rizwan Ahmed Memon

Let’s make a world

Where no worries can enter.

Let’s make a nest

Which no wind can break.

Let’s make a garden

Where flowers of love can bloom.

Let’s go somewhere

Where time can never end,

Where we can remain young forever,

And make endless love.

When She Smiles

When She Smiles

by Rizwan Ahmed Memon

Wind blows, clouds gather

When she smiles.

Flowers bloom, fragrance spreads

When she smiles.

Wounds heal, fears drown

When she smiles.

Dreams come true, plans work

When she smiles.

Life fills with colors, everything has charm

When she smiles.

Fate changes, prayers are heard

When she smiles.

The sun rises, the night falls

When she smiles.

Stars twinkle, moon shines

When she smiles.
